The first two days of Amazon India Fashion Week were dedicated to the Indian Handloom textiles. Giving that amiss for the Day 1, I decided to stick to the #IndiaModernFestive theme and picked this beautiful embroidered shorts & paired it with this powder blue shirt with ruffle details (basically flip reversed) to add a modern vibe to the look. Added chunky jewelry in form of a necklace & a ring and finally tie-up flats to comfort me during all the running errands between the shows!

The day kick-started with an opening show “The Road to Chanderi” comprising 16 designers including Anita Dongre Grassroot, Ka-sha by Karishma Shahani Khan, Payal Pratap, Pero by Aneeth Arora, Surendri by Yogesh Chaudhary, Raw Mango by Sanjay Garg and more, where each designer presented four ensembles each, made using this versatile fabric but with their personal touch to it.
This was followed by Samant Chauhan’s SS17 showcase which was all about beautiful craftsmanship on pristine white outfits. The grand silhouettes, dramatic trails & floral details, all depicted the traces of Grecian and Aryan influences!
While Krishna Mehta’s collection offered asymmetrical kurtas, jackets, sarees and more in vivid color palette – ideal for summer!
Rina Dhaka’s collection had everything from sheer to applique to innovative hemlines! The flowy maxi dresses and sheer skirt with floral motifs were my favorite amongst all.

Finally, the day ended with the Love Generation showcase with Disha Patani as the showstopper, the collection included everyday casual attire & last but not the least, the Italian Fashion Show which was magical to say the least and was indeed the perfect end to an outstanding start!
