#Revived? Yes, that’s what my latest wedding outfit series is called.
Why? Because for each occasion I wore something that is revived or restored after decades.

If you guys have followed my last series ‘#FriendOfTheBride‘, you must be aware that I never generally spend a bomb on my outfits because I know wedding outfits are something that a lot of us do not wish to repeat. While I too used to hate that, but now I keep on trying the mix & match game to flaunt a new look every time!

For this series I decided to turn my mom’s closet upside down & pull out the the best from it. And trust me, the money spent on each outfit did not come out to be more than Rs. 2,000 – Rs. 4,000! And that too was mainly for the jewellery.
Jewellery lovers will relate to me on this.

Coming to this look, the ‘engagement look’ to be precise, I pulled out my mom’s wedding lehenga & decided to pair it with a basic off shoulder top. The idea behind styling it with something basic was to make the skirt or ghagra be the star attraction.

Hats off to my mom for not being a mainstream bride & picking this beautiful pink hued outfit with intricate gold & pearls detailing. To add my touch, I put on  these oversized latkans on it.

Kept sleek mid part hairdo with subtle makeup & finally, added this magnificent pearl necklace to complete the look. Also carried a velvet clutch (with bead embroidery) along.

Top – H&M | Clutch, Jewellery – Thrifted | Skirt (Ghagra) – Borrowed from Mom

I hope you liked this look & the whole idea behind this series.
Stay tuned for the mehendi & the wedding outfit.
Much love :*
